Preoperative prediction of LARS syndrome

POLARS (Pre-Operative LARS Score) is a prediction tool that estimates the risk of bowel dysfunction (LARS syndrome) after rectal cancer surgery, based on clinical data available before the procedure.

Fill in all fields and press "Calculate" to obtain the estimated LARS score.

Note: External validation studies have shown moderate prediction accuracy (~39% category concordance). The tool tends to overestimate symptom severity. Use the result as a starting point for the discussion with your surgeon, not as a certainty.
